We will organize a tour of the Chateau Luchey Halde where the Gala dinner will take place on Thursday night.
In 1999, Bordeaux Agro Sciences, National School of Agricultural Engineers revived Chateau Luchey-Halde which had disappeared 80 years earlier. From Roman times, grapes were present in these fields. Over the centuries, many properties have disappeared as crisis unfolded and because of the extension of the urban area.
In 1920, the Luchey vineyard is torn but preserved from urbanization through the ministry of defence, who decided to make it into a military training ground. When the army resells the land in 1999, Bordeaux Sciences Agro sees this as an opportunity to fully recreate a vineyard, and make it a showcase for its expertise. Located in the prestigious Pessac-Léognan domain Luchey-Halde enjoys an exceptional terroir, the source of the wine that we will enjoy during the Gala dinner.
